80,000 Hours aims to solve the most pressing skill bottlenecks in the world’s most pressing problems. To do this, they carry out research into how talented individuals can maximize the impact of their careers, produce online advice, identify readers who might be able to enter priority areas, and provide these readers with free in-person advice and connections to mentors, job openings, and funding.

Against Malaria Foundation works to prevent the spread of malaria by distributing long-lasting, insecticide-treated mosquito nets to susceptible populations in developing countries. AMF has been active in 36 countries in Africa, Asia and South America, with a particular focus on sub-Saharan Africa.

Animal Charity Evaluators is dedicated to finding and promoting the most effective ways to help animals. ACE pursues this mission through three main programs: Research & Evaluation, Education & Outreach, and Fundraising & Grant-making. ACE’s annual comprehensive charity evaluations result in recommendations of effective animal advocacy organizations. ACE helps people help the most animals! Donations to the Recommended Charity Fund will exclusively support ACE’s Top Charities and Standout Charities.

The Centre for Effective Altruism helps to grow and support the effective altruism community. The effective altruism community is a global community of people who care deeply about the world, make benefiting others a significant part of their lives, and use evidence and reason to figure out how best to do so.

Clean Air Task Force addresses the worst impacts of climate change by catalyzing rapid global development and deployment of low-carbon energy and climate-protecting technologies through research, analysis, advocacy and partnerships. They are nationally and internationally recognized experts on clean air policy and regulations with fierce commitment to exploring all solutions. CATF is an environmental advocacy team with bold ideas solving our climate crisis.

Evidence Action bridges the gap between rigorous, field-tested research and at-scale, real-world solutions that measurably improve hundreds of millions of lives with three main initiatives: The Dispensers for Safe Water program installs and maintains chlorine dispensers in rural Africa. The Deworm the World Initiative partners with governments in India, Nigeria, and Pakistan school-based deworming programs. Evidence Action’s Accelerator drives the identification, design, and testing of additional interventions that can be scaled to reach millions more.

Founders Pledge is a global community of entrepreneur-philanthropists finding and funding solutions to global challenges. Members commit a portion of their current or future wealth to charity (to date $6.86 billion pledged and $736 million donated) and Founders Pledge offers an end-to-end giving infrastructure and provides philanthropic advice to maximize the impact of members’ giving. The organization also has an in-house team pioneering research into high-impact cause areas like climate change, securing the long-term future, global health and development and animal welfare.

The International Refugee Assistance Project is the legal advocacy organization for refugees and displaced people in need of a safe place to call home. IRAP organizes law students and lawyers to develop and enforce legal and human rights for refugees and displaced persons, mobilizing direct legal aid, litigation, and systemic advocacy to serve the world’s most persecuted individuals.

New Incentives educates caregivers about the importance of vaccinating children and disburses cash incentives that are conditional on infants receiving four life-saving vaccines, which are provided through government clinics free of charge. New Incentives also works with government partners to improve vaccine supply. There is strong evidence that their program leads to more children being immunized from life-threatening but vaccine–preventable diseases.

StrongMinds is the only organization scaling a proven, cost-effective solution to the depression epidemic in Africa, where 66 million women suffer from depression and 85% have no access to treatment. Their group talk therapy is highly effective, with 86% of patients remaining depression-free six months after treatment ends. Since 2014, StrongMinds has treated over 80,000 women of all ages in Uganda and Zambia, positively transforming their lives and the lives of their children.

The Good Food Institute is a global nonprofit building a sustainable, healthy, and just food system. With expertise across the scientific, regulatory, industry, and investment landscape, they are accelerating the transition of the world’s food system to alternative proteins using the power of food innovation and markets.
